REFRESHER SESSION ACTIVITIES
Participants must have completed the Claude Bourbonnais Winter Preventive Driving Course.
The clinic lasts 2.5 hours
- Welcome and registration (Participants should arrive 15 minutes before schedule)
- Explanation of exercises: 15 minutes
- Theory and proper driving body position: 15 minutes
- Exercise 1 | Slalom: 30 minutes
- Exercise 2 | Skid Pad: 30 minutes
- Exercise 3 | Skid Control (70-80 km/h): 60 minutes
When 2 participants (family or friends) decide to use the same vehicle, driving time is shared between these participants. The exercises will be adapted according to the situation.
WHY TAKE THIS COURSE
Drivers who have previously attended the Winter Car Control Clinic may wish to refresh their skills when it comes to coping with emergencies.
Refresh your reflexes to avoid wheel lock, control oversteering and understeering, and control emergency braking.
You can never be too prepared for the unexpected. Standard driver education courses do not teach the driver how to control a car in such situations.
