The Claude Bourbonnais Winter Car Control Clinic provides indispensable skills for Quebec drivers who face harsh and variable conditions all winter long.
This clinic offers different exercises to better prepare drivers for winter driving and driving in general. Participants will familiarize themselves with their own vehicles, learning vehicle control in the eventuality of an emergency situation.
**Driver’s licence not required**
PREVENTIVE DRIVING COURSE
The clinic lasts 4 hours (duration may vary depending on number of participants)
- Welcome and registration (Participants should arrive 15 minutes before schedule)
- Explanation of exercises: 15 minutes
- Theory and proper driving body position: 15 minutes
- Exercise 1 | Slalom: 60 minutes
- Exercise 2 | Skid Pad: 45 minutes
- Exercise 3 | Emergency Braking: 45 minutes
- Exercise 4 | Skid Control (70-80 km/h): 60 minutes
WHY TAKE THIS COURSE
You can never be too prepared for the unexpected. The standard driver education courses do not teach the driver how to control a car in such situations.
